Nostalgia for Existing Without Delay
Poland 2018
1hr 5min
In the film the author wonders about the aspects of the fact that people use to postpone their lives for later - which put characters into absurd situations or states in which they become their own caricatures. Following Georges Bataille’s assumption – to whom the film work is in some way dedicated – the summit of any sense is a nonsense. In this way non-sense is not anti-sense but it appears to have its own value which ‘Nostalgia for existing without delay’ joyfully advocates.

Erotically provocative.

Conventions in western art favor portraits that position the face slightly off center to avoid disturbing symmetrical compositions.
Poland/UK 2016
1min 15s
Carbon dioxide from burning fuels causes global warming, a process capable of changing the world's climate significantly. The amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has increased steadily over the past 150 years, and so has the average global temperature.

This is a movie about it. No, this is not a movie about it. And, most of all, this is not a movie at all.

James Quinn is an Austrian writer, director, photographer and founder of Sodom & Chimera Productions, focusing mostly on films of the experimental, bizarre and unconventional. He was born in Linz, Austria on November 27, 1995. James has made a number of short films and music videos far, including the award winning experimental horror short The Law of Sodom, the more recent art-house horror The Temple of Lilith', and the controversial satanic art-house short Sulphur for Leviathan. With Flesh of the Void, he created his first feature, shot entirely on Super 8 and 16mm, depicting a horrifying vision of what dying could feel like if it were the most horrible thing one could experience. James and Sodom & Chimera Productions have gone entirely analog since Flesh of the Void, shooting on film exclusively, both, Super 8 and 16mm, as well as 35mm.

Flesh of the Void
Austria 2017
1hr 16min
Flesh of the Void is a terribly disturbing experimental horror film visualizing what it could feel like if death truly were the most horrible thing one could ever experience. Shot entirely on Super 8 and 16mm, it is intended as a trip through the deepest fears of human beings, exploring its subject in a highly grotesque, violent and extreme manner.

13:30- 14:00 Shorts:

Sulphur for Leviathan
Austria/USA 2017
13min 28s
The story of Sulphur for Leviathan revolves around a nun, who suddenly finds herself progressively fantasizing about things that shouldn't be in her head, increasingly having to face her own doings of blasphemy, all leading up to something demonically dark and sinister. Portrayed in a surreal manner both in color and black and white, with a heavy focus on elegant cinematography, the film tells a satanic tale of unfulfilled desires, lust, blasphemy and existential dread, packed in a controversial and disturbing, but calm and poetic experience that is heavily inspired by Andrei Tarkovsky, with a touch of satanism.

Trinity of Decay
Austria 2016
13min 46s
A woman faces demons of her mind, battling against a man with a plague doctor mask, while roaming the dark of forest landscapes at night.
